This lovely gem is situated on the Beamsville bench with amazing terror of limestone, clay and sand soils, which really comes through on every single riesling and Cabernet Franc Emma produces. 30 Bench has the best Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon- also hands-down one of my favorites every time I visit! The wines are very well balanced, with long lingering finishes. For a boutique winery- Very well priced! ( the first boutique winery in Beamsville!) this is a MUST for anyone who loves Riesling and Cab Franc!
Stopped here on a random day very parched, gave us free drinks and some premium wine to take home for our parents. It was a great 10th birthday for me!!!
Thirty Bench is beautiful and the staff is excellent. However, be aware that a 6 ounce glass of wine will cost you over $20. They do give you the souvenir stemless glass to take home, but I still felt this price was extremely high considering the bottle was priced at $34. I was shocked when my friend and I had a bill of over $40 just for 2 glasses of wine.
I recently attended my (former) favourite winery and found out Fiona was unceremoniously dismissed. I knew something felt off when I first entered and, once I found out, I could put words to the reason why. With Fiona gone, any authenticity at Thirty Bench is lost completely. Where there was once joy and warmth every time I visited, there is now an air of insincerity tainting every part of the experience. Who are these callous charlatans to remove the heart and soul of the winery? I can only imagine some soulless bureaucrat with no interest in or care for the community. I can say this only for myself, but I will never patronize this "historic" winery again, what a farcry from its true roots...
My husband and I had an amazing tour with Lindsay! This was the first time for us to visit a winery. She is professional, knowledgeable and humorous, we got to know more about Thirty Bench and the wine. We’ll be back for sure. Love it!
Great service, friendly and welcoming. Beautiful location - the view in the fall is exceptional Their Reisling is delicious - a wide variety of off-dry styles that are a must-visit if you are in the Bench area. Recommend the Steel Post if you prefer a drier version - the Triangle Vineyard has a wonderful pineapple finish on the palate Great little winery in the Niagara Bench area!
