Very disappointed!!!! First visit here. Tasting were 25 dollars each which is big but heard good things. Proper stemware wasn’t used, same glass for both reds and white. Pours were TINY, I mean TINY, no way 1oz. As soon as we tasted she had the next bottle in her hand, clearly rushing us out. Never going back Very sad!!
What an amazing experience with winemaker Jon! He is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the craft of creating these wines. Every single sip was delicious and full of notes. The hardest part was choosing which wines to bring home. Our friends and family love it when we open one for all. A beautiful setting to enjoy these sustainable and well made wines! We will be back again and again!
We did not know that we needed appt. And travelled hours to get here. They were very rude to us and very snooty. There was no warmth or friendliness. We were told we could buy a glass and tbh the Pinot was not good at all. No information about the wines…nothing. Using the washroom was an issue. We would never come here again and we have travelled the world extensively tasting beautiful wines. Too bad!
I was recommended this winery and I was not disappointed. My wife and I make a yearly visit to the Niagara region to look for excellence in wine’s. Over the years , white’s have been the strength of the region and red’s in my opinion have lacked character and were overpriced for the quality . I must say I was delighted to discover Black Bank Hills selection of red’s last week . The sophistication of the wines and depth of flavour were simply amazing for such a new addition to the market . I can only see success in the Future for Taylor and his team should he continue to produce wines of similar quality. We are both excited to revisit him next summer to see what’s new .
Been following Black Bank Hill since inception and now I am ordering these amazing Wines to Calgary on a monthly basis. Lots of passion to the story of this amazing place. So looking forward to seeing and experiencing the tasting room. Highly recommended!!
Had a tasting with Taylor last week. What a gentleman, my family really enjoyed their time. I'll definitely bring some friends up with me next time to taste more delicious wines.
